Poor circulation or absorption of the CSF that bathes our brain and spinal cord can cause diseases that require surgical intervention for their resolution. Hydrocephalus is the accumulation of CSF within our brain, and to resolve it we implant valves or use endoscopic techniques. There are other less frequent processes about abnormalities of CSF circulation or absorption such as arachnoid cysts, syringomyelia, or pseudotumor cerebrii .
