Born in Vigo, I studied medicine at the University of Santiago de Compostela, obtaining my degree in 2009. After passing the MIR exam that year, I began training as a resident doctor in Neurosurgery at the Hospital Clínic i Provincial and the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona between 2010 and 2015.
After completing my training and working for a few months as an assistant in these centers, I moved to Palma de Mallorca in 2015. I then began my professional development as a specialist doctor in the Neurosurgery service at the Son Espases University Hospital, where I continue to this day.
Over the years, I have enriched my training with international experiences, including stays, courses, and conferences in Marseille, Lyon, Amsterdam, London, Copenhagen, Brno, and Sydney. In 2023, I was awarded a PhD in Neurosciences from the University of the Balearic Islands with a cum-laude grade. I have also completed two master's degrees, focusing on the subspecialties of functional neurosurgery and neurooncology.
At the teaching level, I was a collaborator during all my years of residency in Neurosurgery at the University of Barcelona. I continue as an associate professor at the UIB Faculty of Medicine in the rotation of 6th-year students.
I have led an international cooperation mission at the NED Mnazi Mmoja Neurosurgery Institute in Zanzibar (Tanzania). I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Health Humanitarian Action at the University of Alcalá.
In the field of research, I am the author of several scientific publications in international journals and book chapters and a co-investigator of various projects linked to the Balearic Islands Research Institute (IDISBa). I belong to several professional associations, such as the Spanish Society of Neurosurgery (SENEC), the European Association of NeuroOncology (EANO), and the European Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (ESSFN).
My private activity has focused on Juaneda Miramar since June 2024.
My professional interests span a wide range of neurosurgical subspecialties. Currently, I am most active in functional neurosurgery (movement disorders, epilepsy, pain, and psychiatric disorders), oncological neurosurgery, spinal surgery, and peripheral nerve entrapment and transposition.
I am registered as a member of the College of Physicians of the Balearic Islands (COMIB) with the number 07/0846308
